Why Choose Clicker Training | Cheryl | Amber
Here I am with one of my fur babies, Amber explaining what clicker training is and why you should use clicker training.
Through the Harness | Meredith | Tessa
In this video we have Meredith with her dog, Tessa working to retrain putting on a harness. Tessa became frightened of having a harness on possibly due to her dog walker. So we are retraining by treating through the harness to make a positive connection with the harness for the dog. After the first treat was given through the harness and it was slipped on Tessa's neck then she backs away. However, Meredith remained very calm and patient and treats on the ground in front of her to get Tessa to come closer. Then once Tessa is near she slowly and calmly fastens the harness.
High Five | Cheryl | Amber
This is an Introduction by Cheryl, Owner of For the Love of Dogs Training. I explain why Clicker Training is the best approach and demonstrates it with my golden retriever.
10 Part Chain | Cheryl | Hallie
This is a 10 part chain. I am working with my dog Hallie. Chaining behaviors are fun but take time and good clicker skills.
Sit & Hand Targeting | Black Mouth Cur | Bailey
In this training session. I am working with sit and hand targeting. With the sit you click the muscle movement as the dog is sitting not when the hind-end touches the floor. Hand targeting is different; you click when she actually touches your hand. Treat placement is also important. Notice I will either move backward to feed her or toss the treat in order to initiate movement and restart the behavior.
Two Training Targets | Robin | Wesley
In this training session. I am working with Robin and Wesley on targetting opening a door and walking next to a walker. Wesley is being trained as a service dog.
